Baseballs Walk Off Win

Baseballs walk off win is nothing more than a play on words but for all to understand here is what it is about. Many baseball games end up going into the ninth inning or last inning of regulation play with the score all tied.

The opposing team during the top half of the ninth inning might fail to score then the stage will be all set for the home team to be the drama clincher. A score during the bottom half or last half of the ninth inning will thrill the home standing crowd when the run is scored.

The run is the win. Now we get to this walk off bit. Most fans of the game of baseball knows a walk is when the pitcher throws four called balls by the umpire then the hitter gets a free pass and can walk down to first base.

Now if by some strange twist of fate a pitcher or string of pitchers were by chance so unfortunate as to walk four straight (i:e consecutive) batters then we could indeed call this a Baseball Walk Off Win.

Never in the history of my watching and knowing how baseball has been played have I ever heard of four consecutive walks allowing a baseball game to be won.

Let’s forget about this pitcher walking the hitter but let’s realize what happens when the hitter in this crucial ninth inning of a tied game with the home team at bat puts a mean lick on the ball and it clears the outfield wall. The hitter may simply take his time trot or walk around the bases (walk off) go into the dugout or clubhouse take his shower dress and go home with a team win.

This scenario is what we know and refer to as “Baseballs Walk Off Win.”

Baseball - Fans Link to Zen is More Than Fantansy

Baseball as therapy from the daily grind or life’s challenges. As a pastime, baseball has mountains of statistics to ponder, miles of ‘what if’ scenarios and the warm glow of summer all year long.

What better escape is there to use? Each and every opinion on Baseball could be the right one. From the subtle details of how to hit a ball to comparisons of old time natural players vs modern technically analyzed players. Each of us can be right at any given moment. Even when we are wrong, its obvious to find the little tid-bit that was left out of the equation.

Therapy indeed. A direct distraction from the doldrums of what occupies your time to pay your bills. Designing buildings, building the buildings, or working in the buildings. Drift away from the tugs of daily life. In other parts of the world people sit and ponder emptiness, this is called meditation. Sitting quietly, blocking out the distractions of the world and focusing on the self.

As Westerner’s bombarded with images, data, noise and more noise from the moment we wake up till sleep finally falls upon us; emptiness is hard to grasp. But the focus of meditation is not confined to the self and emptiness. The simple effort of focusing on something other than what life presents to us thru out the day is just as beneficial.

Baseball has all the right stuff to meditate about. Warm days, green grass, sun filled skys the calm of lackluster play and the rush of a great play, well hit ball or the tension of bases loaded with no outs. Baseball memories tend to improve over time with thoughts bringing up those feelings of well being.

The northern states have the fall and winter seasons where all there is to baseball is the memories and the statistics. Last year, Washington State recorded some 90+ straight days of rain. Biologically, we need sunlight to create vitamin D. Baseball with its fullness of detail is almost a necessity for those deprived of sunlight and constant exposure to dreary weather.

So there you have it, Baseball as Western Zen

Casino

If you decided to build a new home, would you start construction without first developing a plan or blueprint? Or would you begin a new business without having a business plan? Would you go to war without knowing your enemy and having a predetermined plan for victory? Well why do you go to the casino without a plan for winning?Winning is what it is all about. I have never lost money at a casino and felt good about it and if you are honest, neither have you. I work hard for my money and when I go to the online casino I want to know I have extended my very best effort towards winning. It is a small consolation when I lose and I do lose a lot but I also win a lot.

Here are a few tips to extend your next gambling vacation or casino day trip:

Plan Your Trip

Make your visit to a casino more enjoyable by calling ahead and finding out what is happening at the casino you plan to visit. Ask questions about available comp promotions and entertainment options. Are tickets available to upcoming shows? Inquire about food establishments, when they are open and if they are offering any specials?

Also never nail yourself to one casino. Find out if there is a neighboring casino. If so, call them and ask them the same questions. You may want to plan a visit there.
If you do plan to visit more than one casino, ask how much rated play is required at your host casino to have your room comped both at Casino Rates and fully comped (If you do not know what I mean by this, read Comps 101 or The Ask Game.).

Count Your Money

Before you go to a casino you should determine how much money you have to spend. Decide how long you plan to stay and divide your money up accordingly. If you have $200 and you plan to stay two days, plan on spending $100 per day.
Or if you only plan to stay several hours you can divide your money by how many hours you staying.

Set your stop losses and stay with them.

Plan Your Play

Plan your play based on your bankroll. How much money you have should dictate how much you can wager on a single hand, throw of the dice or pull of the wheel. Use common sense and decide this before you leave home and stay with it.
You should always have a good knowledge of the game you are playing if you play table games. Start slow and see if you are hot or cold. If you are winning, put some back for later. If you are losing, walk away. The tables will be there all night long. Do not try and create a hot streak.
A good slots system should be studied and used if you play slots. Slots pay in trends. Take your time and look for a trend. Watch what is going on around you and make your decisions based on what you are seeing. If you are winning, put some back for later. If you are losing, walk away. The slots will be there all night long. Do not try to start a trend.

Take A Break

You should have planned other activities when you called ahead to the casino. Stay with your plan. Go to a show or eat your meals when planned. Get away from the action and clear your thoughts. If you have friends at the casino, meet with them and get their opinions about what is happening. My dad always said two heads were better than one even if one is a goat head.

Plan On Taking Money Home

I have visited casinos where every penny I put in the slot was gone with the pull and I was not smart enough to walk out of the casino. Do not be afraid to leave. Many people won’t leave a tight casino because they have just got there. You are not there to give your money away. You are there to have a good time and losing every dime you have is not having a good time.
Leaving when you are broke is easy. No decision to make, you just leave. On the other hand, it is hard to head for the door when you are winning. In your planning you should always set a time to go to the room or to go home, win lose or draw.

If every time you hit a jackpot or have a hot streak at the tables you put some of your winning away and do not touch it till you leave the casino, you will never have a long ride home.

Setting a game plan and staying with it requires a lot of self discipline especially in the bright lights and hot action of a casino.

The MLB Post Season Is Almost Here

The Boys of October are about to take center stage. Are you prepared for the upcoming MLB playoffs and the World Series? With the help of Ticket Solutions, you can be. Ticket Solutions provides baseball fans access to games they normally have to watch on television. Wouldn’t you like to see your team fight for a championship pennant in person?

As it stands, it looks like the following teams are going to be going to preliminary Fall Classic: In the AL, we will probably have the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Los Angles Angels of Anaheim (I can’t believe they actually stuck with that atrocious name) and the Cleveland Indians. Although, either the Yankees or the Indians can forget about the Detroit Tigers, a team that’s only 4.5 games behind the Indians for the AL Central and 2.5 behind the Yankees for the AL wild card slot.

In the National League, things are even worse. There are six-to-eight teams that have a legitimate shot at making Major League Baseball’s second season. The teams fighting for these spots include the New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, the Chicago Cubs, and the Milwaukee Brewers. In the NL West four out of the five teams in the division have a shot at post-season play and they are the LA Dodgers, the San Diego Padres, the division-leading Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies.

Because there’s still a lot to be decided, Ticket Solutions does not have any playoff tickets posted. However, we do have World Series tickets available so if you are confident enough in your team, you can take a chance and invest in some now before the rush arrives.

Enjoy the stretch run of MLB’s regular season and get yourself ready for post season baseball. And if you want to follow your baseball team as they march towards greatness, Ticket Solutions can definitely help.

Cubs score 3 in 9th to edge Reds 7-6

Mark DeRosa’s fifth straight hit was his biggest of the night. It capped a three-run, ninth-inning rally Monday night and kept the Chicago Cubs in first place.

“It was huge. You look at the scoreboard and see 6-0 Milwaukee, you can’t quit in that situation. You got to keep fighting in front of your home fans,” DeRosa said after Chicago’s 7-6 victory.

With the Reds using a five-man infield, DeRosa grounded a single up the middle that went off closer David Weathers’ glove. And when second baseman Brandon Phillips couldn’t come up with it, pinch-runner Sam Fuld raced in from third with the winning run.

Aramis Ramirez tied the game with a two-run triple earlier in the inning.

“My mind-set was to get something up and try to get it in the air, and I didn’t accomplish that task,” DeRosa said. “If David Weathers doesn’t get a glove on it, I think Fuld still has enough wheels to get home. So anything for the win. To be honest it didn’t matter how I got it done. It was a matter of getting it done.”
